The Optimum Performance Range of Saddles

Nathaniel Underwood stocks an extensive range of top quality new saddles in a range of makes, styles and designs. He has personally designed a range of saddles to suit all disciplines, examples of which are shown below. These carry the High Performance and Optimum Performance labels. All these saddles are hand crafted and made from only the finest quality materials. Many are kept in stock but Nathaniel also offers a bespoke saddle making service.

Saddle Tree Sizes
Most of these saddles are available as standard in 16" to 18" but larger saddles can be made to order.

Width Fittings
Medium, Medium/Wide, Wide - as standard stock.
Other fittings or made-to-measure also available.

Leather
Black or Havana Brown as standard stock.
Other colours and shades available to order.
Bridle finish or nordic textured leather as standard.
Other finishes available to order including calf skin.

Various sizes of knee rolls or blocks are available.
May be fixed or attached by velcro and therefore adjustable.

This jumping saddle incorporates a semi-shallow seat and an envelope wool stuffed panel. This allows the rider close contact feel while providing maximum comfort for the horse. The flap design and position and the depth of seat can be tailored to the rider's personal preference.

This is a square cantle GP/Jump saddle suitable for hunting, jumping and general riding as the panel has an excellent baring surface which helps to alleviate pressure on the horse's back.
This saddle is available in a 10" or 11" seat width options.

This saddle has proved exceptionally popular with endurance riders and has been widely used at international level. It is ideal for riders who like to ride with a longer leg position particularly if they are going to be in the saddle for a long period of time. The flap position is slightly more forward than that of the working hunter,

This is a very popular saddle for those riders who prefer a long leg position. It is also used in the showring to show a horse's shoulder off to advantage. It is forward cut enough to give the rider security over small fences. This saddle has proved to be a great solution for accommodating horses with very powerful shoulders which might otherwise be restricted by more forward cut saddles.

This versatile saddle offers a medium depth, well balanced seat allowing the rider to alter their position depending on the type of riding required. It is available in a wide seat version as well as a standard width seat.

Nathaniel's dressage saddle offers a deep central seat position providing the rider with excellent security. It also has an open head which allows the horse greater freedom of movement.

The self levelling girthing system as shown comes as standard but various options are available.
